In May the sunny days return and the temperature begins to rise so much that in the hottest hours someone already starts bathing in the sea. During this period we go on trips and excursions again and it is also possible to enjoy some wonderful products of nature.
Among them are undoubtedly cherries, those very tasty fruits that not only have a very pleasant taste but also contain many beneficial elements for the body. Let's think for example of potassium and phosphorus, but also vitamin A and vitamin C.
How to grow a cherry tree immediately: the quick and easy method
For all these reasons, many people want a cherry tree in their garden. However, growing a cherry plant is not easy if you are a beginner and do not know the best techniques.
That is why it is good to know how to bring the plant to life in a few days without incurring large expenses. The best technique is to rely on the kernel inside the cherry tree.
How to tell if a cherry is very ripe? Look closely at the color, it should be a nice deep red. Some varieties of cherries have this color even if they are not very ripe yet, but in general you shouldn't go wrong with cherries that stand out for this color.
To remove the kernel in the cherry, simply eat the fruit and leave the kernel, or cut the cherry with a knife. After removing the kernel, it must be cleaned because no pulp should be left. The more hazelnuts we harvest, the more plants we get.
At this point, the next step is to sow the kernel. But before we see a seedling, we may have to wait a few months. The goal is to speed things up.
This can be done through a very simple method, which is by creating a small crack or by removing the nucleus of the embryo from all the hard parts that surround it. To crack the nut and create a crack, just use a nutcracker.
After 40 days, the plant will start to grow.
If only the embryo is used, the seedling will begin to appear within a month or a maximum of forty days. It is different if you opt for the fully intact seed, because it can even take five to six months.
Once this choice is made, you can start sowing. In a vase filled with soil, make a small hole in the center with a teaspoon. The depth of the hole should be about one centimeter.
Once this step is completed, we remove the nucleus or embryo and introduce it into the hole, cover it and evaporate everything with a little water. The soil must always be kept moist until the first bud appears.
After about 40 days we will see a root grow from the ground, which also gave rise to the seed. After a few days the seedling will already be about two centimeters long.
About a week after the seed germinates, the first leaves will begin to appear. On the fifteenth day of life the plant will measure about ten centimeters and will begin to produce leaves. As the months go by we will see further growth of the plant, although during the first year development will take place mainly in the root system.
When the plant reaches a height of about one and a half meters and the diameter of the central stem reaches two centimeters, it can be grafted to promote the formation of large, tasty fruits.
